So many middle class and middle age people are taking an awful pounding.  Many have lost their assets in the stock market and real estate market, and are taking a serious look at what they are going to do to survive (let alone fourish).

The full reality has not set in because the government, following the dictates of the representatives are furiously bailing out everyone possible.  If the free market were at work, millions of people would sell their cars and take the bus.

We need to have a conversation about how we can move ahead with our savings and retirement plans that are our own and not dependent on the government.  We can make our future rosy again!

The sure fire way of building up assets is to save some money. So easy to say, so wise, but so hard for most people to do. But people are getting more serious about it. Yet savers are losers under socialism.
So you are going to save some money. Where? In mutual funds within a retirement plan that will be taxed to high heaven down the road?
A Roth IRA is a little better, but unless it is a self directed Roth IRA you will probably be back into the hands of the legal robbers called mutual fund managers.
